A floating hotel will appear on Lake Baikal in 2026

A 4-star floating hotel will appear on Lake Baikal — it will be the largest cruise ship that has ever sailed on the lake.

Right now, a four-deck cruise ship for multi-day trips around Lake Baikal is being built in Irkutsk. It will be able to take on board 144 passengers.

It is planned to launch the vessel in September 2026. It will carry out five- and seven-day cruises on the lake, the cost of which, according to preliminary calculations, will amount to 130,000 rubles (about USD 1,400).
