A huge 16-meter aquarium at the Dom Aquaree Hotel burst in Berlin

The 16-meter AquaDom aquarium at the Radisson DomAquaree Hotel in the heart of Berlin (Germany) has burst. About 1 million liters of water poured out, in which 1,500 fish lived. At least two people were injured.

A crack in the glass of the largest freestanding cylindrical aquarium in the world appeared around 6:00 today, December 16. It increased very quickly, as a result, water poured into the streets along with marine life.

The guests of the Radisson DomAquaree Hotel were urgently evacuated.

According to preliminary data, the cause of the incident was fatigue of materials.
