A new Ercan Airport terminal complex opens in Northern of Cyprus
The new airport terminal complex of Ercan Airport in Northern Cyprus (Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus) is scheduled to open the day after tomorrow, July 20.
The opening ceremony will be attended by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The new terminal building of Ercan Airport and the new runway will be officially opened in two days. The old terminal will be closed on this day — flights will be serviced there until 19:15 on July 20. Then the airport will be completely closed until 07:00 on July 21 for the duration of the move. The work of the airline will resume from 07:00 on July 21.
Ercan Airport is located 20 km east of Nicosia. Investments in the project of its reconstruction reached 450 million euros. It is expected that the air harbor will be able to receive up to 10 million passengers per year.
