A special travel card for tourists has appeared in Istanbul

According to the Istanbul Municipality (IBB), a new card — Istanbul City Card - will become a tourist replacement for the universal travel Istanbul Card. It was put into effect on September 1.

This travel card, presented in various versions, will facilitate the movement of tourists around Istanbul. The maps will be supplied with a "guidebook" and popular routes of the city.

For example, one of the Istanbul City Card options is an unlimited travel card for up to 15 days with access to hop-on hop-off tour buses.

Soon, additional features will be linked to the Istanbul City Card, such as access to museums run by the municipality, the ability to use ferry lines and excursion ships plying the Bosphorus.

You can buy Istanbul City Cards in electronic vending machines in more than 30 tourist places.
