A tourist was struck by lightning on a Croatian beach

during a vacation in Croatia, a tourist from the UK was struck by lightning.

Last Saturday, a 48-year-old woman and her daughter were relaxing on the beach of Croatian Split when a thunderstorm suddenly started. The tourists tried to find a safe place, but at that moment the woman was struck by lightning, after which she lost consciousness, but remained alive.

The British woman received first aid from a nearby doctor, then she was taken to the hospital with numerous burns and a head injury. Her condition is still serious.

Experts say that the woman received a discharge of 300 million volts. Doctors believe that the lightning hit the necklace that the British woman was wearing.
