After a two-year break, Easter Island opened for tourists
Easter Island in Chile on August 4 was visited by the first group of tourists after more than two years break.
The island was closed due to the coronavirus. Now tourists need to follow a number of rules to get there. So, they must be fully vaccinated and present a negative PCR test, made a maximum of 24 hours before departure from another Chilean airport. Tourists flying to the island on international flights must take an antigen test upon arrival.
