Air Malta stops flights

The Maltese national airline Air Malta, which has worked in the air transportation market for 50 years, is closing.

The carrier is ceasing operations due to financial difficulties and the rejection of a request for support from the EU.

Air Malta will make its last flight on March 31, 2024. It is expected that it will be replaced by a new airline — KM Malta Airlines, which will fly to 17 airports in Europe.
