Al Maktoum Airport is planned to be the largest in the world
Dubai authorities have approved the final expansion project of Al Maktoum Airport worth 128 billion dirhams.
The infrastructure will include five parallel runways, western and eastern cargo handling terminals, five passenger terminals, 400 boarding gates and an integrated ground transportation hub.
Al Maktoum Airport will be five times the size of the current Dubai International Airport (DXB) and will be able to handle up to 260 million passengers per year.
