Alcohol will rise in price in Dubai

In Dubai (UAE), alcohol will rise in price from January 1, 2025. The emirate authorities will return a 30 percent municipal tax on the sale of alcohol. It was canceled at the end of 2022 as an experiment to attract tourists.

Initially, it was assumed that the trial period would last until the end of 2023, but its validity was extended. Thus, bars, pubs, clubs, restaurants and hotels in Dubai will increase the price of alcohol from the new year.
