An explosion has occurred in the center of Istanbul, there are dead and injured.

The explosion occurred on the most popular street in Istanbul — pedestrian Istiklal, near Taksim Square.

As a result, more than 80 people were injured, six were killed.

A lot of medical ambulance teams were sent to the scene of the accident. The area is cordoned off by security forces, residents and tourists are being evacuated.

The cause of the incident is still unknown. But the Istanbul Prosecutor's office considers the terrorist attack as the main version.
