An innovative city will be built in Kyrgyzstan on Lake Issyk-Kul
Kyrgyzstan authorities decided to build an innovative city on Lake Issyk-Kul.
As the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov said at the ceremony of laying the capsule for construction, the city will be called Asman and will be made a tourist and economic center — "a hub connecting East and West, North and South."
"Not a penny from the state budget was spent on the project of the city of Asman and the beginning of its construction. This is due to the fact that there are external investors who are interested in participating in the implementation of such a large project," the head of Kyrgyzstan noted.
From a height, Asman will look like a national Kyrgyz musical instrument komuz, depicted on a banknote of 1 som.
The area of the new city will be 4,000 hectares, it will be able to live 500 000 — 700 000 a man. The city can be built in 7-10 years.
