Belavia will reduce the flight time to Istanbul, Sochi and Yerevan
The Federal Air Transport Agency has allowed the Belarusian national carrier Belavia to fly in southern directions on "short" routes through Volgograd and Astrakhan.
Earlier, the routes to the south ran through Kazakhstan. Now, due to the reduction of the overflight area, the travel time on some flights has decreased.
For example, the time of the Minsk — Istanbul flight was reduced by 45 minutes; the Minsk — Sochi flight by 25 minutes, the Minsk — Yerevan flight by half an hour. Return flights have become shorter by an average of 15 minutes.
In Tbilisi and Baku, Belavia continues to fly through Kazakhstan for the time being.
