China launches the world's first "sky train"

China is launching the world's first "sky train" — a maglev train that literally hovers in the air.

The experimental 800-meter-long railway uses powerful magnets that lift a train with 88 passengers into the air and set it in motion. The rail of such a train is located at a height of about 10 m above the ground. There is no physical contact with the train from the rails, the transport moves under the rails at a speed of 80 km/h.

Due to the lack of friction with the rail, a little electricity is required to move the train. The cost of building such a road is ten times cheaper than the cost of building a subway.
