China to soften "zero tolerance" policy for coronavirus
After the start of mass protests in China, the authorities decided to soften the policy of "zero tolerance" for the coronavirus.
Thus, indiscriminate universal PCR testing is canceled in the country. Asymptomatic patients and those with mild COVID-19 are allowed to undergo home quarantine without mandatory hospitalization.
In addition, the National Health Commission of China will soften the approach to quarantine zones: when cases of the disease are detected, instead of lockdowns in entire districts and blocks, individual buildings and floors will now be quarantined.
