Dubai wants to build a rotating skyscraper

A rotating skyscraper will be built in Dubai (UAE) in the coming year.

The author of the project will be architect David Fisher, head of the architectural bureau Dynamic Architecture Group.

Fischer proposed the rotating skyscraper project back in 2006. He designed an 80-storey building with a height of 420 m, each floor of which is capable of rotating 360 degrees in both directions around a central concrete core. Materials such as steel, aluminum and carbon fiber will be used in the construction.

The tower will operate autonomously, thanks to solar panels installed on the terraces and wind turbines. It is planned to build a special elevator inside, which will allow parking cars near the owners' apartments.

Residents will be able to control the direction and speed of their homes themselves.

The cost of apartments in such a building will start from $ 40 million.
