During the flood in China, 75 crocodiles escaped from the nursery
In the southern Chinese province of Guangdong, 75 crocodiles escaped from the nursery due to flooding.
The flooding was caused by prolonged downpours brought by Typhoon Haikui. As a result, reptiles escaped from a nursery located in the Maonan district. Out of 75 crocodiles, only eight have been caught so far.
A state of emergency has been introduced in the district, residents are asked not to leave their homes, stay away from reservoirs, do not fish or swim in them. The relevant services are currently dealing with the problem.
