Eco-activists poured soup over the painting "Gioconda" in the Louvre
On January 28, in Paris (France), eco-activists poured soup over Leonardo da Vinci's famous painting "Gioconda" ("Mona Lisa") in the Louvre. Fortunately, the painting is protected by armored glass.
The vandals justified their actions with the desire to promote the "right to healthy and sustainable nutrition."
The action was interrupted by employees of the Louvre, who covered the space in front of the stand with fabric screens and asked visitors to leave the hall. The museum has activated the crisis headquarters, and cleanup work has begun.
