Electronic visas for foreign citizens have been launched in Russia
From August 1, foreign tourists will be able to come to Russia on a single-entry electronic visa.
Business travelers, participants of scientific, cultural, socio-political, economic, and sporting events will be able to apply for the same visa.
The visa is available to citizens of 55 countries. They will be able to apply for it on a special online E-visa platform launched today by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
A single electronic visa is a separate category of visa along with diplomatic, official, ordinary business, humanitarian, private and tourist. Foreigners can get a single-entry visa for up to 60 calendar days with a permitted stay of up to 16 days in the Russian Federation.
No documents confirming the purpose of the trip will be required to receive it. An electronic visa is issued within a period of no more than four calendar days, regardless of weekends and holidays.
The list of 55 countries whose citizens can apply for this visa is published on the official E-visa portal. Among the countries included in the list are all EU states, India, China, North Korea, Japan, Turkey, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Philippines, Myanmar, Cambodia and others.
You can enter with such a visa in any way — by land, water or air.
