Elephant Museum opened in Thailand
On September 5, 2024, an Elephant Museum began operating in the Thai province of Surin. It is part of the State Elephant World project. The place was chosen for it for a reason, because the local Kui people have been living there for a long time, whose representatives are traditionally considered the best elephant trainers.
In the museum, tourists will be able to explore the history of royal, wild and domestic elephants, see a variety of exhibits on the "elephant" theme, visit exhibitions, take pictures with elephants, take a walk in the park with ponds.
The Surin Elephant Round-Up Festival, founded in 1960, is held annually in November in Surin. During it, guests can watch elephant competitions, participate in games, and master classes.
