Finland has been recognized as the happiest country for the sixth time
Finland has been recognized as the happiest country for the sixth time in a row according to the World Happiness Report 2023, compiled annually by the UN unit for finding solutions to sustainable development.
In the ranking, this Scandinavian country was again ahead of its rivals by a margin of several hundred points.
Denmark is in second place, Iceland is in third. Russia is in 70th place. Of the top ten, Israel showed the greatest growth: the country rose from ninth to fourth place. The Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, Luxembourg and New Zealand also remained in the lead. The most unhappy countries were Afghanistan and Lebanon.
In total, 146 countries participated in the World Happiness Report 2023 ranking, experts took into account such indicators as life expectancy, social support, corruption and others when compiling it.
