Forest fire engulfed Turkey

Over the past 24 hours, wildfires have broken out in 14 provinces of Turkey, including the popular tourist provinces of Izmir and Aydin on the Aegean coast.

The elemental force began with fires in the provinces of Diyarbakir and Mardin last week, and dozens more large and small fires have been recorded since then.

In Izmir province, residents of some settlements and guests of two hotels were evacuated. On Saturday, the highway between the town of Selchuk and the resort of Kusadasi in Aydin was blocked. The fire also broke out near the resort of Cesme near Izmir.
