Formula 1 Grand Prix opens in Baku
On April 28, the next stage of the Formula 1 race will open in Baku. It will last until April 30.
The Baku City Circuit, included in the Formula 1 calendar since 2016, is a fan favorite due to its ultra-fast speeds and unique urban scenery.
The Azerbaijan Grand Prix in 2023 is the seventh race in a row. It differs in the scale and location of the Baku highway. After the Spa, Jeddah and Las Vegas tracks, the Baku track is the fourth longest in Formula 1 - its length is 6,003 km. The straight section of the track has a length of 2.2 km, it runs along the Caspian Sea.
The turn at the ancient Fortress gates provides a special entertainment for the race. This place is considered the narrowest part among all Formula 1 tracks - its width is only 7.6 m.
At the end of the race, the city will turn into a large open-air stage, where concerts of world electronic music stars, including Dj Don Diablo and Dj Hardwell, will take place.
Most of the tickets for Formula 1 were sold out at the beginning of the year, fans from 100 countries of the world will gather in Baku.
