German residents have issued a record number of electronic visas to the Russian Federation

In March 2024, German citizens issued 3,655 electronic visas to Russia. This is a record for the entire existence of the program, since August 2023.

Thus, according to statistics from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, German residents took the second place in the number of issued Russian visas among all countries — 19,025 electronic visas. The first place belongs to Chinese citizens — 21,784 visas.

Also in March, a record number of visas were issued to Indian citizens — 2,250, and to Iranians — 1,110 visas.

Electronic visas for foreigners are valid from August 1, 2023, they give the right to single entry into the Russian Federation, you can stay in the country for up to 16 days. The validity period of the permit is 60 days from the date of registration.
