Hurricane Franklin is coming to the Dominican Republic and Haiti
Tropical storm Franklin is approaching Haiti and the Dominican Republic. It will bring with it heavy rains, floods and landslides.
It is expected that the wind speed in the hurricane reaches 75 km/h.
The Haitian authorities urged the population to stock up on water, food and medicines. Schools, government offices and several airports have closed in the Dominican Republic.
Franklin became the seventh storm in the Atlantic in the current hurricane season, which lasts from June 1 to November 30. Scientists warn that the current hurricane season will be very intense — there may be more than 20 hurricanes.
