In Bali, tourists will have to get a license to drive a scooter
On the island of Bali in Indonesia, tourists will have to get a local driver's license if they want to drive a scooter or motorcycle.
A driver's license for motor vehicles (Surat Izin Mengemudi, or SIM) can be obtained from the Indonesian police after passing a practical and theoretical test. The document is issued to drivers aged 17 and over.
The police clarified that "disciplinary measures" will be applied to drivers driving motor vehicles without the appropriate rights.
