This was stated by the head of the Central Department of Underwater Antiquities under the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities of the country, Islam Salim.
According to him, after the completion of the survey and study process, excursions on glass-bottomed submarines will be conducted to the site of the ship's discovery.
Over the weekend, the agency reported that archaeologists-divers found in the Mediterranean Sea near the coast of the Egyptian city of El Alamein the wreckage of a sunken merchant ship dating back to the III century BC.
Salim explained that in accordance with the agreement between Egypt and UNESCO, underwater finds must remain in place, except in cases when they may be damaged or lost.
