In France, protesters attacked a bus with tourists from China
The Consulate General of China in Marseille has sent an official complaint to France in connection with the attack of protesters on a bus with Chinese tourists. Beijing called on Paris to ensure the safety of its citizens and their property.
The incident with the tour bus occurred in Marseille last week, during the first days of the riots. Protesters smashed the windows of a bus with a Chinese tour group, passengers were injured.
The Consulate General of China urges its citizens who are in France to be careful in connection with the unrest.
The ongoing protests in France are forcing many tourists to refuse to travel. So, according to the head of the Paris Bureau of Tourism Jean-Francois Brial, tourists have already canceled a quarter of all bookings in the French capital. In less than a week of pogroms, the country lost several hundred million euros.
