In Hong Kong, tourists are given certificates for visiting bars and restaurants
Since November 1, Hong Kong tourists have been issued certificates with a face value of 100 HKD for visiting restaurants and bars in the evening.
Coupons will be valid after 18:00 in more than 500 bars, cafes and restaurants located in Jianshajui and West Kowloon districts, as well as at Hong Kong International Airport.
The measure, which is part of the Night Vibes Hong Kong program, aims to develop night tourism in the city. In total, 1 million such certificates will be distributed. Earlier it was reported that the Hong Kong authorities allocated 100 million HKD for the implementation of this program.
In the future, night bus tours will be available to tourists, discounts on cinema sessions, the opening hours of parks and museums will also be increased.
According to the Hong Kong Tourism Board, 20.5 million foreign visitors visited the island in the first eight months of 2023. At the same time, there is a decline in the restaurant sector.
