In Machu Picchu, a bus with tourists fell into the abyss
On August 22, a bus leaving Machu Picchu fell into the abyss, killing foreign tourists. This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism of Peru, Roberto Sanchez Palomino.
The accident happened at night in the Cusco region, popular with tourists from all over the world.
A bus carrying tourists fell into a 100 m deep abyss.
As a result, four foreigners were killed, 16 were injured. It is known that two of the dead were Colombian citizens, the nationality of the other two is not specified. Among the victims are citizens of Greece, France, Israel, Argentina, the Netherlands, Canada. Three are in hospital in serious condition.
The police are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
