In Mexico, a tourist in the sea was attacked by a giant stingray
In Mexico, a huge sea stingray attacked a 43-year-old tourist who was snorkeling in shallow water.
The woman was swimming with fins and a mask, watching the underwater fauna — stingrays and manta rays, when she felt a sharp pain in her ankle. She was attacked by a stingray.
Rescuers came to the aid of the tourist, who helped her get out of the water. They gave the victim first aid and sent her to the hospital. What kind of injuries the woman received is not reported.
Scientists believe that the aggression of the stingray was caused by a large number of people swimming around it.
