In South Africa for the first time in 11 years there was a snowfall.
Snow fell in the South African city of Johannesburg. The last time this phenomenon was observed here was in August 2012. Residents of the city called the snow "pure magic" and "a wonderful start to the week."
Geographers from the University of the Witwatersrand say that the snowfall was caused by a sharp increase in humidity, low temperatures and cold wind, and it is unlikely that such weather will last long.
