In Tenerife, the evacuation of residents due to forest fires began
On the island of Tenerife (Spain), the authorities began evacuating residents due to wildfires. This was announced by the Government of the Canary Islands.
Evacuation as a precautionary measure is carried out from the cities of Arrate, Civisaia, Media Montagna and Ahafona. The number of evacuees reached 3,000 people.
Roads are closed on the island. The second level of danger has been declared in the region.
It is specified that the forest fire started on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday near the settlements of Arafo and Candelaria.
