In the Museum of Germany, a Monet painting suffered at the hands of eco-activists

Eco-activists have ruined the painting "Haystacks" by Claude Monet in the Barberini Museum (Potsdam, Germany).

Another act of vandalism was committed by members of the organization "Last Generation" (Letzte Generation): they poured mashed potatoes over the canvas, and then glued their hands to the wall.

Eco-activists claim that they tried to draw public attention to the problems of the world ecology: "people are starving, people are freezing, people are dying."

This happened just nine days after eco-activists poured tomato soup on Vincent Van Gogh's painting "Sunflowers" at the National Gallery in London. Earlier, at the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne (Australia), two eco-activists glued their hands to Picasso's painting "Massacre in Korea" during a protest.

In July, two eco-activists glued their hands to the glass that protects Botticelli's painting "Spring" in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence.
