Kilauea volcano erupts in Hawaii
The eruption of the Kilauea volcano has begun in Hawaii, the red code of aviation danger has been declared. This is the third eruption of this volcano in a year.
According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), a lake of incandescent magma has formed in the crater of the volcano, fiery streams flow out of it in all directions.
Kilauea, located on the Big Island, on the territory of the Volcanoes National Park, is called one of the most active volcanoes on Earth. The last time it erupted was very recently — in June 2023.
