London City Airport waived the ban on carrying liquids in hand luggage

London City International Airport has become the first major airport in the UK to allow all passengers to pass security checks without removing laptops and liquids from their hand luggage.

New CT scanners have been installed at the airport, which create more detailed images of what is inside the bags. The government demands that all major airports in Britain start using similar technologies by June 2024.
