London hotels sharply increased prices before the coronation of Charles III
London hotels have raised their prices for accommodation in the first half of May on the eve of the coronation of Charles III. Some hotels have gone up by 60%.
The coronation ceremony of King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla will take place on May 6 at Westminster Abbey, eight months after the death of Queen Elizabeth II. The famous crown of St. Edward, which is more than 360 years old, will be placed on the head of Charles III.
So, prices in London start from 66 pounds per room per night in a 2* hotel 16 km from Buckingham Palace. A room for one in a 5* hotel in the center will cost 3,000 pounds per day.
