Lonely Planet has included the Istanbul-Sofia train in the TOP of the best cultural adventures of 20

The international travel magazine Lonely Planet has presented its rating Lonely Planet's Best in Travel 2023.

It notes the updated route of the Istanbul (Turkey) — Sofia (Bulgaria) night express, which is called beautiful, original and very interesting — "an unforgettable cross-border journey through picturesque places, through mountain passes."

The train departs from Istanbul Halkaly Station (in the Küçükçekmece area), it goes to Sofia via the historical cities of Edirne in Turkey and Plovdiv in Bulgaria.
