Metro in Paris flooded with heavy rain
In Paris, as a result of a heavy downpour, there were interruptions in the operation of public transport, including the metro.
On the eve of the evening, the French capital, which had been suffering from drought for weeks, was hit by heavy rains that led to flooding in several areas of the city. So, several metro stations were flooded, at least 20 stations were not working by 20:00 in the evening. Traffic jams formed on the streets.
According to local meteorologists, up to 40 mm of precipitation fell in Paris in less than an hour yesterday. The rains were accompanied by strong winds, the speed of which, for example, in the area of the Eiffel Tower reached 104 km/h.
To date, the work of public transport in Paris has fully recovered.
