The New Year's fireworks display in the UAE was included in the Guinness Book of Records.

We are talking about the emirate of Ras al Khaimah, where the New Year's fireworks entered the Guinness Book of Records in two categories at once - as the longest line of fireworks on the water and as the longest line of fireworks in the sky.

The venue of the show was the 4.5 km long coastline between the artificial archipelago of Al-Marjan and the Al-Hamra area. In addition to fireworks mounted on the water, 1,050 pyrotechnic and LED drones were involved, as well as light-engine aircraft performing aerobatics.

The show lasted eight minutes and was watched by about 50,000 viewers.
