The National Center for the Prevention of Natural Disasters clarified that on April 15, the volcano threw out the first column of steam and gases to a height of up to 3 km. And over the past day, there have already been 148 emissions, the ash column has risen to 7 km. Then the ashfall began, the nearby settlements were covered with ash.
Local rescuers recommend residents and tourists not to approach the volcano at a distance of less than 12 km. The work of the capital's airport was under threat, which could be closed if the volcano continues its activity.
