Phuket experienced the strongest flood in 30 years
Phuket (Thailand) experienced the strongest flood in the last 30 years. As a result of a powerful downpour that hit the island on the night of October 15-16, half of Phuket was flooded.
So, the flood affected the territory from Patong and Phuket Town to Thep krasattri and Paklok. Kamala, Phuket Town, and Patong were the hardest hit. In some places, the water level exceeded a meter.
Power lines were affected by bad weather, communication interruptions were observed, 1,850 households were flooded.
At the moment, the flood situation is under control, but according to meteorologists, precipitation on the island will continue in the coming days.
