Popocatepetl volcano has become active in Mexico
The Popocatepetl volcano has become active again in Mexico — it began to emit ash and steam into the atmosphere. The volcano is located 70 km from the capital of Mexico City.
Residents and tourists were warned about the danger of being within a radius of 12 km from the volcano. Earlier, the volcano erupted on February 28, 2024, and 22 flights were canceled.
