Public transport in Belgrade will be free
Public transport in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, will be free for everyone from January 1, 2025. This was stated by the mayor of the city, Alexander Shapich.
The mayor also said that next year there will be no rolling stock older than two years in the public transport system of the Serbian capital.
Thus, Belgrade will become the largest city in the world by population (more than 1 million people) with completely free public transport.
