Russia plans to introduce a system of contactless check-in in hotels

The Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation supported the initiative of the tourism industry concerning the introduction of an automated system of contactless check-in in hotels. This was stated by the head of the department Maxim Reshetnikov.

He recalled that the travel business asked to register in hotels "without a mandatory reception, without a mandatory person." This is quite realistic, because "we have biometrics and facial recognition. It is necessary to actively introduce innovations," Reshetnikov said.
