Skyscrapers-forests will be built in Dubai
In Dubai (UAE), two skyscrapers will be built, covered with forest — thousands of trees and shrubs.
The author of the Vertical Forest project is the Italian architectural firm Stefano Boeri Architetti. In the plan , two towers form the letter V. The height of the skyscrapers will be 190 m and 150 m. More than 2,600 trees and 27,000 shrubs will be planted on the facades, greenhouses and hydroponic gardens will appear.
The project pays special attention to water conservation. Together with the standard wastewater recycling system, a desalination system will be installed. Skyscrapers are also equipped with a photovoltaic installation capable of producing 5,100 kWh of clean energy.
