The ban on entry to Estonia for Russians with Estonian visas will come into force on August 18
The Estonian government has approved a ban on entry into the country for Russians with an Estonian Schengen visa — it will come into force on August 18.
Earlier it was reported about this decision of the Estonian authorities, but the exact date of entry into force of the ban was not called.
Now, from August 18, the previously valid exceptions for issuing Schengen visas to Estonia for the purpose of work, study and entrepreneurship will also be canceled.
Entry to Estonia will be allowed only to those citizens of the Russian Federation who have a long-term residence permit in Estonia, and those who have close relatives in Estonia, as well as diplomats and their family members. In addition, the ban does not apply to drivers of vehicles operating on international cargo and passenger routes, and persons entitled to travel in accordance with EU law and members of humanitarian missions.
