The demand for tickets to Hong Kong increased 3.5 times after the relaxation of covid rules

As the Bloomberg news agency writes with reference to the message of the largest Chinese website for online ticket purchase Trip.com, the number of flight bookings to Hong Kong yesterday, August 8, sharply increased by 3.5 times — this is 249% more than on August 7.

The growth of interest in flights to Hong Kong increased after the quarantine requirements for incoming tourists were relaxed there.

At the same time, the number of booked tickets departing from Hong Kong also increased — by 1.8 times (by 176%).

Last Friday, the Hong Kong authorities reduced the quarantine at the entrance from seven days to three. The remaining four days can be spent in a hotel or at home with the possibility of going outside (except for visits to crowded public places).
