The Festival of Sand Sculptures takes place in Antalya
The 18th International Sand Sculpture Festival is currently taking place in Antalya (Turkey).
This year the theme of the festival is "Space Adventures", in a special area the organizers have installed telescopes in which everyone can look at celestial bodies.
25 sculptors from different countries of the world worked on the creation of sculptures. They used about 10,000 tons of sand.
Sculptures can be admired on Lara Beach (Muratpasha district) from 9:00 to 23:00. The exhibition will run all summer. Tickets cost 240 liras for adults and 120 liras for children. It is expected that 200,000 people will attend this year's event.
