The first Arctic beach appeared in Russia
The first certified Arctic beach has opened in the Murmansk region. It is located on the Kanentyavr Lake.
According to Olga Kuznetsova, deputy governor of the region, Aurora Beach is equipped with a rescue tower, an alert system, a shower and a locker room.
According to her, despite the fact that the bathing season in the Murmansk region is short, the beach area at other times of the year will be a great place to relax and watch the northern lights.
The project was implemented within the framework of the strategic plan "To live in the North" and the national project "Tourism and Hospitality Industry".
