The first case of monkeypox is revealed in Cuba

The first case of monkeypox was detected in Cuba. The carrier turned out to be a tourist from Italy, he is in critical condition.

According to the local Ministry of Health, the Italian arrived in Cuba on August 15 and managed to visit several provinces before he felt unwell on August 17.

The next day, August 18, when the symptoms of the disease worsened, he sought help. In the hospital, his heart stopped, but doctors were able to resuscitate him. The severity of the disease is explained by "concomitant causes".
